Cookie Policy
This page lists what the Willow Skybridge website stores in your browser and lets you change your choice. We have tried to keep it accurate to what the pages really do today, not to what a site of this kind might do.
What is stored today
- Your cookie choice. When you answer the banner, the site saves your answer and the time you gave it in your browser’s local storage under the name
cookie_consent. It stays on your device, is read only by our own pages, and exists so that the banner does not return on every visit. - Nothing else from us. At the time of writing the site loads no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts from other companies, so no third-party cookies are set by these pages.
The categories in the preference panel
The panel lists the standard consent categories used by browsers and advertising tools. They are there so that your choice is recorded properly if we later add a measurement or advertising tool; until then, switching one on does not start any tracking.
- Advertising storage and Advertising user data: would allow an advertising service to store data on your device and receive limited information about your visit.
- Ad personalization: would allow ads to be tailored to your earlier activity.
- Analytics storage: would allow us to count visits and see which pages are read.
- Personalization storage: would remember preferences such as display settings.
- Functionality storage and Security storage: needed to run the site safely and remember your choice; always on.
Manage your preferences
Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can change any category above at any time and the new choice replaces the old one. To remove the saved record altogether, clear this site’s data in your browser settings; the banner will then ask again. Browsers also let you block or delete cookies in general, and the pages remain readable if you do.
Cookies and local storage
Strictly speaking, the record described above is a local storage entry rather than a cookie. Browsers send cookies back to a website with every request, whereas local storage stays on your device unless a page script reads it. We mention both because the rules and the settings in your browser usually treat them together, and because a visitor who clears “cookies and site data” will remove the entry along with everything else this site has saved.
The pages are static: they do not create user accounts, do not keep a session, and do not store anything that identifies you between visits except the choice you made in the banner.
Who can read what is stored
The saved choice sits in your own browser profile. We do not receive a copy of it on a server, and it is not linked to your name or email address, including when you later send a message through the contact form. Anyone who shares the same browser profile on the same device can see and change it, so on a shared computer it is worth clearing the site data when you finish.
Choices in practice
Most visitors to a planning consultancy’s site are comparing a few providers in one sitting, often on a work laptop that other people also use. With that in mind, the controls are arranged so that declining is as quick as accepting.
- The banner offers Reject all, Manage and Accept all side by side, and the site works the same whichever you choose.
- Rejecting everything keeps only the two required categories, which are needed for the site to run and to remember that you rejected.
- Accepting everything does not today change what the pages load, since no advertising or analytics service is connected.
- You can return to this page from the footer of any page and change your answer without having to clear anything.
If a browser extension or privacy setting already blocks storage for this site, the banner may appear on every visit because the choice cannot be saved; in that case no information about you is kept, and the pages remain usable.
If this changes
Before we switch on an analytics or advertising tool, we will update this page to name the tool, what it stores and for how long. Personal information collected in other ways is covered by the Privacy Policy. For questions or to ask us to delete data connected to you, write to info@willow-skybridge.com.
